Everything went according to plan when third rankedOkapi Aalst (18-6) defeated on the road 11th ranked Leuven Bears (11-13) 106-90 on Sunday. Aalst made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Aalst looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American guard Dante Maddox Jr (188, college: Xavier) who scored that evening 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and point guard Niels Van Den Eynde (179-2000) supported him with 15 points and 14 assists. Even 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American swingman Tytan Anderson (198-2002, college: UNI) did not help to save the game for Leuven . His fellow American import guard Will Pruitt (190, college: Lipscomb) added 20 points and 5 assists. Five Aalst and four Leuven players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Okapi Aalst have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Oostende. Leuven lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost.
